The Beginner's Guide to Copy Trade (Trader)

How to become a trader?

1. Go to MEXC Copy Trading

2. Click "Become A Trader"

When applying to become a trader, make sure that you do not have any Copy Trade positions, open positions or orders (market orders and stop orders). You should also not be following any traders.

3. Fill in the application information

These are the required contents when filling in the application form on the new page:

Email (required)

a. If the user's MEXC account is already linked to an email, there's no need to fill in another one (if the user wants to change the email, he needs to contact Customer Care to change it at the backend).

b. If the user's MEXC account is not linked to an email, he must enter one. We will use email to send important information such as application reviews.

Telegram account (optional)
Mobile number (optional)
Check the Copy Trade Agreement checkbox and submit the application

4. Wait for approval

It usually takes 1~2 day for the audit result to be sent to the email address you used to register with MEXC.

5. Once approved, traders can start leading trades.

How to start Copy Trade?

💡After passing the review, the user must add the lead trade information to start leading trades successfully.

After approval, the user will receive a message by email or push notification.
When the user enters the Copy Trade homepage or clicks order management to enter the order management page, the system will prompt the user to fill in the lead trade information.

The information to be filled in with the order:

Avatar (required): The system sets the first avatar for the user by default, and the user can modify it by himself
Trading pair (required): The user needs to select at least one trading pair as a single trading pair
Tag (required): The user needs to select at least one Tag

If the user closes the pop-up window, the order information will not be added

1. When you enter, the order management page, a prompt bubble will be displayed (until your information is added), prompting your to supplement the order information.

2. Click to edit personal information, you can set the information

How to manage Copy Trade?

How to manage current copied trades?

To close the positions for all followers, click[End Copy Trade], and you will be directed to the Futures page. Traders may choose to fully or partially close the positions. The system will close the followers' positions at market price to end the copy trade.

If the trader chooses to partially close the position, the followers' positions will also be closed based on the ratio.

Check the followers' details of a position

Click on [More], and a pop-up window showing followers' details (follower's UID, following amount, and trading fee) will appear.

On the Manage Copy Trade page, view details of past copied trades under History.

How to manage followers?

Manage the number of followers

Go to Settings under Manage Copy Trade. You can choose to limit the number of followers. If you turn off the switch, no new followers will be able to follow you.

Manage followers

You can remove a follower by clicking [Remove] in the action panel. This will change the status of the follower to Not Following. If the follower currently holds a copy trade position with the trader, the trader will not be able to remove the follower.

How to manage Copy Trade amount?

You can check the total Copy Trade amount under Settings on Manage Copy Trade.

How to set up invite-only followers settings?

If the switch is turned on, only users who are invited by the trader can follow the trader.

How to check profit sharing?

You can check profit sharing details under Manage Profit Sharing on Manage Copy Trade page.

Check profit sharing history

You can check profit sharing history under Manage Profit Sharing - Profit Sharing History on the Manage Copy Trade page.

Click on [Details], and a pop-up window showing the profit sharing details will appear.

Check statistics

ROI: Rate of return on investment

Calculation method: Total PNL/Sum of all filled and unfilled positions up till the cut-off

PNL: Total profit and loss

Calculation method: Total realized PNL of all filled positions + Total unrealized PNL of unfilled positions

MDD: Maximum drawdown

Calculation method: Hourly snapshot of total account equity of the day, latest peak and valley values calculated 00:00 daily, meaning MDD = (M-N) / M

Where M = peak value of total equity of the day, and N = valley value of total equity of the day

You can check the details of traders on your watchlist under Watchlist on Copy Trade page.
